Dozens of Israeli Settlers Invade Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Restrictions Imposed on Palestinian Worshipers Entry
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Dozens of extremist Israeli settlers stormed, on Wednesday morning, December 28, 2022, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, from the Mughrabi Gate, under the high protection of the Israeli occupation forces.

The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem stated that dozens of Israeli settlers broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.

The occupation forces imposed strict restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers from Jerusalem and the 1948-occupied territories to Al-Aqsa and prevented the entry of some young men.

Every day, except for Friday and Saturday, Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to a series of settler incursions, as part of the occupation’s attempts to divide it temporally and spatially.

Last November, at least 8174 colonial Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al- Aqsa mosque and performed provocative Talmudic rituals in some of its yards, in addition to 90,026 colonial settlers who were present under the pretext of tourism, according to the Public Relations and Media Unit in Jerusalem.

As part of a decades-old accord between Jordan and the Israeli occupation, non-Muslims are not allowed to perform any religious rituals inside the confines of Al-Aqsa Mosque, nor are Israeli symbols allowed to be displayed.
