More than 250 Pro-Palestine academics and activists signed Saturday, 22 October 2022 a statement issued by the International Campaign for Ending Israeli Apartheid in Palestine, calling for an academic boycott of Israeli occupation over its human rights violations against the Palestinian people.
Pro-Palestine academics and solidarity activists signed the statement, which came in response to the current escalating offenses of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians representing nearly 28 countries in the world: Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, Iraq, Guatemala, South Africa, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia. Britain, Sweden, the United States of America, Australia, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Canada, Mauritania, Belgium, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, Turkey, and Russia.
The campaign’s Secretary-General, Ramzi Odeh, welcomed the ISM campaign decision and highlighted that the campaign with all its cadres is committed to triggering the academic boycott among its members, and preventing the usage of Israeli occupation airports.
