Palestinian prisoner Smi Jaradat entered on Saturday, October 22, his 20th year in Israeli prisons, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
Director of the Palestinian Prisoners Club Mutaser Samour reported that Sami Jaradat, who was detained on this day in 2003, entered today his 20th year in Israeli prisons.
The Club added that prisoner Jaradat was sentenced to life imprisonment 23 times and 50 years in prison.
Prisoner Jaradat spent long years in Israeli prisons while being denied family visits as Israeli occupation forces banned his family members from visiting him, the Club pointed out.
According to recent figures by the Palestinian commission of detainees and ex-detainees, 273 Palestinian prisoners, labeled as deans, served more than 20 years in Israeli prisons.
