Hundreds of Palestinian families fled their houses ahead of the extreme cold and rain storm that hit the war-battered Gaza Strip.
Most of them either had been living in dilapidated homes because of the heavy Israeli strikes during the latest 51-day Israeli war or had been living in makeshift houses because their original houses were completely destroyed during the war.
Because of the poor infrastructure and the electricity outage, four citizens including three infants froze to death during the storm.
Thousands of dunams of farmlands were damaged also during the storm. The farmers have no party to compensate them.
