DaysofPal- At least 70 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli airstrikes throughout the Gaza Strip since Monday morning, according to medical sources, with 24 of those deaths taking place during raids early on Tuesday.
In one of the deadliest attacks, eight Palestinians lost their lives, and over 30 were injured in a series of strikes targeting a residential area on al-Jalaa Street in central Gaza City.
In the southern Gaza Strip, a woman and her son were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit their home in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.
Three people also died and several were injured in an attack on a house in the Al-Manara neighborhood of Khan Yunis. Footage shared on social media showed extensive destruction, particularly to the Masmah family home near Khaldiya Clinic in the same neighborhood.
Mahmoud Bassel, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, announced the recovery of victims from the Abed family, who were among the displaced residents sheltering in a targeted house.
In another attack, four Palestinians were killed, and several others injured in a strike on a home in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Meanwhile, Al-Mamadani Hospital in Gaza City, the only functioning medical facility in the area, is overwhelmed by the influx of injured civilians from northern Gaza and the city itself. The hospital faces dire shortages of specialized staff, medical supplies, medications, and fuel, putting it at imminent risk of shutting down.
The death toll in Gaza has reached staggering levels, with at least 46,584 Palestinians killed and 109,731 wounded since the escalation of violence on October 7, 2023. The relentless airstrikes have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, leaving devastated families and communities struggling to cope with the loss and destruction.
