Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers on Friday, August 26, performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli restrictions and barriers.
Local sources reported that about 50,000 Palestinian Muslim worshipers performed Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque although the Israeli occupation forces deployed heavily at the gates of the mosque and tightened their procedures.
On a daily basis, Israeli settlers carry out incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli occupation forces except on Fridays and Saturdays.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities impose suffocating restrictions on Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa, the third holiest site in Islam, routinely banishing Muslim worshipers from it.
