DayofPal– At least 21 displaced Palestinians were reportedly killed in an Israeli airstrike attacking a mosque-turned shelter late last night in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.
The targeted mosque is located across the street from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital and was hit by the Israeli military at about 2 am local time, local sources said.
Paramedics and civil defense teams took about three consecutive hours to recover the bodies of the slain people sue to the sheer level of damage that resulted.
Israeli fighter jets dropped heavy bombs and severely damaged the facility and the properties in the vicinity area, including many stores on the main road.
The Israeli military alleged the mosque was being used as a Hamas “command and control complex”. However, it offered no evidence for these claims, and the videos documenting the massacre showed only civilians, including children and women.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that other five people were killed and dozens injured following the deadly attacks by Israeli occupation forces on displaced people at Ibn Rushd School in Gaza City.
The Gaza Ministry of Health has said that the death toll from the Israeli aggression since October 7 last yeat has risen to 41,870 martyrs and 97,166 injured.
