1000s of Palestinians Pray at Al-Aqsa, Ibrahimi Mosques

M.S | DOP -

Thousands of Palestinians from Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian interior prayed on Friday, October 7, 2022, in the Al-Aqsa and Ibrahimi Mosques as part of the “Great Dawn” campaign.

The courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the prayer hall witnessed large numbers of Palestinians who flocked since the early hours of dawn, from separate areas in Jerusalem and the occupied interior, and those who were able to reach it from the West Bank.

In Hebron, hundreds of Palestinian citizens prayed the Fajr prayer in the Ibrahimi Mosque, which is being subjected to a dangerous process of Judaization by the Israeli occupation.

Palestinian Activists and Jerusalemites called on the Palestinians to intensify their presence in Al-Aqsa Mosque and to participate in the “Great Dawn” campaign, to confront the Israeli occupation’s Judaization schemes and its attempt to divide the mosque temporally and spatially, in light of the escalation of Israeli settlers’ incursions.

In the past two days, hundreds of Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, on the commemoration of the so-called “Hebrew’s Day of Yom Kippur”, under high protection by the occupation forces and amid restrictions on the Palestinians, their arrest and deportation.

During the month of September, about 4,821 Israeli settlers broke into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the peak of the incursions was on the 26th and 27th, which coincided with the Hebrew New Year.

The “Great Dawn” campaign comes to advance the Palestinians and to participate widely in the Fajr prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in defense of it and the Palestinian sanctities in the face of the continuous attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and the Israeli settlers.
