DaysofPal— Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement announced on Saturday that it had carried out a ballistic missile attack targeting southern Israeli occupation, marking its first direct strike on the area.
In a military statement, the movement said it launched a salvo of ballistic missiles at sensitive military targets belonging to Israeli forces.
It said the operation was successful and carried out in coordination with allied forces in the region.
The statement indicated that the attack came in parallel with operations involving Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon, as part of a broader regional escalation.
According to the group, the strike was in line with a previously announced policy of direct military intervention in support of Iran and allied factions in Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine.
Ansar Allah said the attack was also a response to the ongoing military escalation and attacks on infrastructure, as well as civilian casualties across multiple fronts in the region.
The group warned that its operations would continue until its declared objectives are achieved, including an end to hostilities against allied groups.
Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli military confirmed detecting missile launches from Yemen for the first time.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that at least one missile heading toward southern Israel was intercepted by air defense systems.
The situation signals a widening of regional tensions, raising concerns about further escalation beyond the immediate Gaza conflict.
