DaysofPal- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that one in every three children in Gaza City suffers from malnutrition.
The agency criticized recent air-dropped aid operations as risky and largely ineffective, warning that conditions will worsen as the war intensifies in Gaza.
Dr. Munir Al-Borsh, Director General of Gaza’s Ministry of Health, confirmed that the health system is facing catastrophic collapse due to the ongoing Israeli war.
Al-Borsh warned that children bear the heaviest burden, with around 28 children dying daily and millions more deprived of their right to education and a dignified life.
Moreover, Al-Borsh described hospitals’ conditions as “unimaginable,” with patients forced to receive treatment on the floor due to destroyed medical facilities and shortages of medicine, fuel, and food, calling the situation an “organized genocide.”
The government media office reported that over the past three days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), only 250 aid trucks entered Gaza out of an expected 1,800.
Much of the aid has been looted or stolen amid deliberate security chaos created by the Israeli occupation as part of its policy of engineered starvation and chaos, aimed at breaking Palestinian resilience.
Only 15% of actual needs have been met, with the Israeli prevention of sufficient aid from entering, continuing to block crossings, and undermining humanitarian operations.
The Israeli blockade on Gaza has lasted nearly six consecutive months, denying entry to 430 essential food items needed for children, patients, and those facing starvation.
In addition, hundreds of other vital food items are prohibited, including eggs, red and white meat, fish, cheese, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, nutritional supplements, and dozens of other essential items such as nuts and fortified foods needed by pregnant women and patients.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Health reported that among the “hunger victims,” 18 were killed and 117 injured in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of hunger-related victims reaching hospitals to 2,036 dead and over 15,064 injured.
Since March 18, 2025, casualties from aid-related shortages have reached 10,646 dead and 45,073 injured, raising the overall toll of the Israeli aggression to 62,192 dead and 157,114 injured since October 7, 2023.
