The United Nations announced on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, that at least 200,000 residents of Gaza have been displaced due to the Israeli airstrikes since last Saturday.
The conditions in Gaza are extremely grim and tragic, primarily as a result of the occupation’s strategy of employing destructive tactics such as targeting residential structures, infrastructure, disrupting communication and internet services, and further deteriorating crucial amenities.
The UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) reported that the occupation’s aircraft directly targeted the organization’s facilities, completely destroying them and rendering them out of service.
On Saturday morning, Palestinian factions in Gaza launched an operation called “Flood of Al-Aqsa” in response to the continuous attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinian people, their property, and their holy sites, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In return, the Israeli army launched an operation called “Iron Swords”. The Israeli aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes in Gaza, targeting residential buildings.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that Israeli occupation forces killed over 830 Palestinians and injured some 4250 others.
