DaysofPal– In a grave escalation of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, international organizations have warned that the famine ravaging the region is not merely a byproduct of war but “deliberately and systematically planned”. Gaza now hosts the largest population facing famine anywhere in the world.
Field staff on the ground report witnessing families dying from hunger, with children suffering from severe malnutrition, so weakened that some are unable even to cry.
The organizations stressed that Israel’s use of humanitarian aid as a weapon constitutes a blatant violation of international law and risks pushing Gaza’s already catastrophic humanitarian situation into total collapse.
They further warned that turning aid into a tool of control endangers civilians and threatens to deepen the chaos and suffering across the Strip.
