UN official Lucia Elmi, the Humanitarian Coordinator for occupied Palestinian Territories, stated on Tuesday, October 18, that 2022 has been the bloodiest year since 2006.
In a statement published Tuesday, Lucia said that Israeli forces killed 105 Palestinians, including 26 children, in Jerusalem and West Bank in 2022.
The statement added that the monthly average of Palestinian fatalities has increased by 57% compared with last year.
Only in October, the Israeli forces killed 15 Palestinians, including 6 children, during military raids in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
In addition, the statement pointed out the United Nations is concerned about increasing moment restrictions imposed by Israeli forces on Palestinian towns and cities.
Earlier in October, Israeli occupation forces imposed an extensive blockade on the occupied West Bank city of Nablus and Shuafat camp in occupied Jerusalem.
