DaysofPal- The United Nations has warned that 2.1 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip remain trapped within less than half of the territory, as humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate.
According to UN updates, malnutrition levels are rising across Gaza, with the World Food Program reporting a significant increase in food insecurity among the population.
The UN also highlighted that Israeli restrictions on the entry of essential supplies, along with limitations affecting humanitarian partners, are hindering efforts to restore basic services across the enclave.
Officials warned of ongoing and severe shortages of clean drinking water, food, cooking gas, and other essential needs, exacerbating the already critical living conditions faced by civilians.
In addition, the Gaza Strip is experiencing a sharp shortage of medicines, depriving large numbers of patients, particularly children, of access to necessary treatment.
The United Nations reiterated its concern that without immediate and sustained access to humanitarian aid, conditions in Gaza are likely to worsen further in the coming period.
