The Israeli Minister of Heritage paid last Week a normalizing visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), via which he called for the urgent demolition of Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest place on earth, and to the imposition of “Israeli sovereignty” on the occupied West bank.
Umehai Elihu was met with a king-like reception and allowed to visit one of the giant Muslim mosques in Dubai, where he blatantly and brazenly said, “Israel has to strengthen its relations with the States that have signed normalization agreements.”
Elihu is affiliated with the “Jewish Power”- Otzma Yehudit in Hebrew- which is a far-right political party led by the Israeli Minister of “Chaos” Itamar Ben Gvir. The party advocates the forceful expulsion of the indigenous Palestinians from their homes, claiming they are “enemies of Israel”.
Last year, the Israeli occupation Minister, Yisrael Katz, flew to Abu Dhabi to discuss the solar-for-water agreement with Jordan, which was brokered by the UAE.
In 2020, UAE proclaimed its official normalization with ‘Israel’ under the auspices of the Biden administration. Since then, it has inked several public and secret agreements with the occupying regime of ‘Israel’, establishing relations with various Israeli parties therein.
Normalization agreements have only aggravated the Palestine-Israeli conflict and increased Israel’s audacity to commit more atrocities against the Palestinian people with flagrant violations of international laws under the cover of U.S. support.
Nearly 700 Palestinian children have been arrested and other 44 children killed by the Israeli occupation since the start of 2023, according to Palestinian specialist in prisoner affairs Abdel Nasser Farwana.
