Two Palestinian Prisoners Enter Another Year Inside Israeli Prisons

Palestinian prisoner Iyad Aburab entered Thursday, November 24, 2022 his 18th year inside Israeli prisons. 

According to Palestinian Prisoners’ Club director in Jenin, Aburab was detained on November 24, 2005 in Jenin and was sentenced to eight life imprisonments. He was subjected to severe physical and psychological maltreatement for 120 days, and illegal solitary confinement.  

Additionally, Palestinian detainee Azmi Naffa’ from the occupied West Bank city of Jenin was detained on the same day in 2015 and entered his 8th year of imprisonment today. Notably, he was shot in the face and hand with live ammunition the day he was detained, and till today he is still denied full medical treatment. 

Palestinian detainee Naffa’ was detained before he was able to finish his undergraduate degree and was able to get his degree in law, later inside Israeli prison.
