Tunisia expressed Friday, 28 January 2023 its unconditional solidarity with the Palestinian people in their valiant struggle to liberate their lands from the Israeli occupation.
In a statement, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that its steadfast position comes as a result of continuous violent practices committed by the Israeli occupation forces in occupied Palestinian lands the latest of which Israel’s bloody crime against the Jenin refugee camp that claimed lives of 9 Palestinians.
Tunisia called on the international community to move quickly and assume its responsibilities to put an end to the Israeli attacks which constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law principles.
Tensions in the occupied West Bank have been boiling up particularly over the past few months with the escalation of the Israeli occupation attacks on the Palestinians. During January 2023 alone, almost 31 Palestinians have been killed in separate attacks by Israeli forces.
