DaysofPal- Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, announced on Tuesday that three more children have died due to severe malnutrition and lack of necessary medical treatment amid the ongoing blockade and Israeli genocide that cause a shortage of medical supplies and food in the Gaza Strip.
Doctors confirmed that the children arrived at the hospital in a critical condition due to hunger and lack of care, noting that the hospital lacks essential medicines and fluids that could have saved their lives.
These incidents come as international organizations warn of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster in Gaza, where thousands of children face the risk of slow death due to famine and the shortage of medical services, as the Israeli genocide continues for the second consecutive year.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, since the announcement of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) for famine, 162 deaths have been recorded, including 32 children.
Reports indicate that the ongoing attacks since October 7, 2023, have so far resulted in 65,344 deaths and 166,795 injuries, mostly among children and women, in addition to famine claiming the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.
Authorities and humanitarian organizations continue to call on the international community to provide urgent aid and medical supplies to Gaza to prevent further deaths, especially among the most vulnerable children.
