DaysofPal – Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that three people were killed and eight others injured during the past 24 hours following Israeli military attacks across the Gaza Strip.
The ministry said that Israeli forces in Gaza City opened fire on Sunday morning, killing one Palestinian and injuring multiple others. The incidents occurred concurrently with airstrikes and artillery shelling of central and southern Gaza.
Medical sources at the Baptist Hospital said one person was killed and others were injured by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in northeastern Gaza City. Separately, staff at Al-Shifa Hospital reported injuries following an Israeli strike that hit a building in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in western Gaza City.
Israeli warplanes carried out four airstrikes on Al-Tuffah since early Sunday. Israeli forces also detonated a booby-trapped vehicle near Al-Batsh Cemetery in the eastern part of the neighborhood.
In northern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Jabalia refugee camp, while artillery units shelled several areas of the town. In the southern part of the Strip, local sources reported intensified Israeli military activity east of Khan Younis. The town of Bani Suheila came under artillery fire, alongside increased movement of Israeli forces in surrounding areas.
Israeli forces also conducted large-scale demolition operations east of Khan Younis, destroying residential buildings and housing blocks. Military vehicles were seen clearing neighborhoods and establishing new military positions in Bani Suheila.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Ministry of Health said the number of people killed since the ceasefire announced on 11 October reached 484, with 1,321 others injured. The ministry also recorded 713 recovered bodies during the same period.
Since the start of the Israeli genocide on 7 October 2023, the cumulative toll has risen to 71,657 people killed and 171,399 injured, according to official figures.
The ministry added that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble or lie in roads and open areas. Ambulance and civil defense teams continue to face severe difficulties reaching those locations.
