DaysofPal- The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) has reported a significant escalation in Israeli killings and targeted attacks against civilians across the Gaza Strip in May, describing the incidents as part of a systematic policy targeting the civilian population.
In a press statement issued Thursday, the organization said May 2026 recorded the highest monthly death toll since the start of the year.
According to figures documented by Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 119 Palestinians were killed during the month, including 19 children and 10 women, as a result of Israeli attacks.
