GAZA – Nine Palestinians, including two who succumbed to wounds sustained in previous Israeli attacks, were killed and 36 others injured over the past 24 hours as Israel continues its military offensive on the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
In its daily casualty report, the ministry said the victims were brought to hospitals across the besieged enclave during the past day amid the ongoing Israeli assault.
The ministry reported that since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli forces have killed 1,200 Palestinians and wounded 3,888 others through continued attacks and repeated violations of the truce. Civil defense and rescue teams have also recovered the bodies of 803 Palestinians from areas previously inaccessible due to the destruction and ongoing hostilities.
According to the ministry, the overall death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,326 Palestinians killed, while 173,997 others have been injured, many suffering life-altering wounds.
Health authorities stressed that the toll remains incomplete, as numerous victims are still trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings or lying in streets and areas inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews because of continued Israeli military operations.
The ministry added that Israeli forces have continued to violate the ceasefire agreement for the 290th consecutive day. The truce, brokered through Arab and U.S. mediation in Sharm el-Sheikh in October 2025, called for a cessation of military operations and the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
However, Palestinian officials say Israel has continued its attacks across the enclave while maintaining restrictions on humanitarian assistance, deepening the humanitarian crisis facing more than two million Palestinians living under siege.
