DaysofPal- One year since genocide erupted in Gaza, and as the resulting crisis intensifies, Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war against children in Gaza.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, the Israeli army has blocked over 250,000 aid trucks since the start of the genocidal war in October 2023.
“The occupation army continues to reinforce the starvation policy, especially in northern Gaza,” the GMO said.
Israel has tightened its oppressive blockade on the enclave and closed the Rafah crossing, which is a crucial route for aid deliveries into Gaza from Egypt, for 169 days, according to the media office.
“Preventing the entry of aid trucks is part of Israel’s policy of using starvation as a weapon of war against civilians, especially children, by denying them food, baby milk, and nutritional supplements.”
The media office denounced international silence to “this brutal crime being committed against Palestinians in Gaza.”
After 385 days of the ongoing Israeli atrocities, over 42,700 people were killed, the majority of whom were women and children, with nearly 100,300 injured.
