Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Settlers Incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Saudi Arabia Kingdom condemned on Tuesday, 28 March 2023 the Israeli settlers’ incursions into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the Israeli occupation forces’ protection.

In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the blatant incursion conducted by Israeli settlers into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque amid the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.

The Saudi Ministry stressed that Israeli settlers’ practices contradict international principles and norms with Respect for religious sanctities.

The statement reiterated the Kingdom’s firm stance on ending the Israeli occupation and reaching a fair and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also strongly condemned the storming of the al-Aqsa courtyard, saying it was an extension of the settlers’ daily violations against Palestinian worshipers.

It warned that the settlers’ invasions were a dangerous escalation and violation of the sanctity of Muslims’ holy places, freedom of worship, international law, and relevant United Nations resolutions.

Colonial settlers’ backed by the Israeli occupation forces repeatedly invade Muslims and holy places in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in a flagrant violation of all international conventions and laws, guaranteeing Palestinian people’s right to worship in their sacred places.

As part of a decades-old accord between Jordan and the Israeli occupation, non-Muslims are not allowed to perform any religious rituals inside the confines of Al-Aqsa Mosque, nor are Israeli symbols allowed to be displayed.

Last February, more than 3,587 colonial Israeli settlers invaded Al-Aqsa Mosque, performed provocative Talmudic rituals in its yards, and conducted the so-called “epic prostration” at its gates.
