Prisoners Information Office: What Is Happening Inside Occupation Prisons Is Dangerous Escalation

M.S | DOP -

The Prisoners Information Office declared Saturday, January 28, 2023, in a statement that the Israeli “Masada” repression unit raided Section 8 in the Negev Israeli Prison and attacked the Palestinian detainees, indicating a state of extreme tension prevailing.

The Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees stated today that a tense atmosphere has prevailed inside the Israeli prisons of “Megiddo, Ofer and the Negev” since morning hours after they were stormed by the repressive forces of the Prisons Administration.

It added that the Israeli forces inside Israeli prisons fired gas bombs heavily at Palestinian detainees’ rooms in Megiddo prison and transferred dozens of them to solitary confinement.

The occupation forces forcibly brought out the Palestinian detainees in Ofer Prison, Section 9 and Al-Naqab Prison, from their rooms, assaulted them, and forced them to close Sections 27 and 28 of Al-Naqab Prison.

It’s worth mentioning that Hazem Hassanein, a spokesman for the Prisoners’ Information Office, said that what is currently happening inside the Israeli occupation jails is a dangerous escalation against the Palestinian prisoners.

As a result, the Supreme Emergency Committee for the Palestinian Prisoner Movement inside Israeli prisons announced this evening the detainees’ intention to escalate against the policies of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners, and against the policy of repression and retaliation pursued by the Israeli Prison administration against them.
