Palestinian detainee Kahder Adnan entered on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, his 67th day of hunger strike in protest of his administrative detention in Israeli prisons.
Lawyer of Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association reported that Adnan suffered from pain throughout his body and blurred vision.
Prisoner Khader Adnan, 44, is currently held in the Ramleh prison clinic center under inhumane and harsh conditions. He was transferred to the clinic following the deterioration of his health conditions.
Despite his serious health conditions, Israeli occupation authorities have not responded yet to Adnan’s demands for freedom.
Furthermore, Israeli occupation forces repeatedly assaulted Adnan in an attempt to force him to suspend his hunger strike.
On February 5, 2023, Israeli occupation forces kidnapped Khader Adnan after invading his home in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, the Palestinian prisoners’ Society PPS said.
Khader Adnan was arrested at least 12 times, and he spent a total of eight years in Israeli prisons. He was held under administrative detention during most of his arrests.
Prisoner Khader Adnan had gone through a hunger strike five times in Israeli prisons, including four strikes against administrative detention.
Israeli occupation authorities currently hold some 4780 Palestinians in prisons, including 160 children and 30 women
