Days of Palestine – Jenin

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Monday 4 April 2022 that the 17-year-old Palestinian youth Mohamad Zakarneh has succumbed to wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces IOF lately.

IOF special units shot Zakarneh with an explosive bullet in the tub while storming the industrial area of Jenin and targeted a vehicle there, local sources said.

They confirmed that the explosive bullet that targeted the youth Zakarnet caused a rupture of blood vessels and severe bleeding that required 80 units of blood and platelets.

Yet, all medical efforts had not succeeded in saving his life, and later he died, they stated.

Meanwhile, a crowd of Palestinians marched from Al-Razi Hospital to the Jenin government hospital and raised the body of the martyr on their shoulders, chanting nationalistic slogans against the occupation crimes and calling for international protection for the Palestinian people.

In the same context, the Palestinian factions announced a trade strike in the city in mourning for the martyr, whose body will be mourned after afternoon prayers.

IOF escalated their violations and their repressive and vengeful practices against the citizens, following a political decision taken by the head of the occupation government, Naftali Bennett, who witnessed the killing of two women and a young man by occupation bullets in Bethlehem and Hebron yesterday.
