Confrontations broke out Tuesday, May 2, 2023, between Palestinian young men and the Israeli occupation forces in different regions of the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces stationed at the southern checkpoint of the occupied city of Qalqilya in the “Jaljulia area”, fired stun grenades and tear gas bombs at the young Palestinian men who protested following the death of the Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan, who has been on hunger strike for 87 days.
Meanwhile, confrontations erupted between the Israeli occupation soldiers and Palestinian youth in Nabi Saleh village, north of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that occupation soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinian youth during the confrontations that erupted in the village.
Moreover, Israeli occupation forces closed the Al-Shufa military checkpoint, and the entrances to the village of Shufa, southeast of occupied Tulkarm.
Israeli forces completely closed the checkpoint to the movement of vehicles entering or leaving occupied Tulkarem, deployed its mobile patrols in the vicinity of the village of Shufa.
The Palestinian detainee Khader Adnan died today Tuesday, May 2, 2023, inside Israeli jails after going into an 86-day hunger strike against the unjust administrative detention he suffered in Israeli prisons.
Despite the deterioration of his health due to his long hunger strike, the occupation courts repeatedly rejected his request for his release, which led to his death.
The death of the Palestinian detainee Adnan raised the number of Palestinian detainee martyrs inside Israeli prisons to 237.
