Palestinian prisoner, Mohammad Farouk Abu Al-Rab, from southern Jenin, entered Monday, July 17, 2023, his 22nd year in Israeli occupation prisons.

According to Monther Samour, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club in Jenin, Abu Al-Rab has been detained since July 17, 2002, and was sentenced by Israeli authorities to 30 years in prison.

Abu Al-Rab’s brother, Rabie, has been imprisoned since 2022 and is serving a life sentence.

The Israeli occupation continues to hold hundreds of Palestinians without charge or trial.

Palestinian prisoners and their families often face numerous challenges, including restricted visitation rights, limited access to medical care, and mistreatment by Israeli Prison Service.

The Israeli occupation is currently holding thousands of Palestinian prisoners behind its bars, including women, children and elderly.
