Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan entered on Sunday, March 25, 2023, his 49th day of hunger strike in Israeli prisons to protest his administrative detention.
Prisoner Adnan is held in solitary confinement in the Al-Jalama detention center under inhumane and harsh conditions.
Earlier on Thursday, Adnan delivered a message to the Palestinian people coinciding with the first day of Ramadan, calling upon them to support his battle of hunger strike.
Israeli occupation forces kidnapped Khader Adnan on February 5 after invading his home in occupied Jenin, the Palestinian prisoners’ Society PPS said.
Khader Adnan was arrested at least 12 times, and he spent a total of about eight years in Israeli prisons. He was held under administrative detention during most of his arrests.
In protest of administrative detention, prisoner Adnan had gone through five previous hunger strikes in Israeli prisons, including four strikes.
