M.Y | DOP -

Palestinian prisoner Qusai Hamdiyah, 44 years old, from Jenin, entered on Wednesday his 20th year in the Israeli occupation prisons.

According to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Israeli occupation forces arrested prisoner Hamdiyah on June 29, 2003 after breaking into his house during a military raid in Al-Damoun in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

The Israeli court sentenced prisoner Hamdiyah to 28 years in prisons, of which he served 20 years. Last year, the mother of Hamdiyah died without having a chance to meet his son. Meanwhile, Hamdiyah was deprived of bidding her farewell.

About 4700 Palestinians are held now inside the Israeli prisons including 32 women and 170 minors. In addition, up to 500 Palestinian prisoners are held administratively without trial or charge.
