Palestinian Administrative Prisoners Continue to Boycott Israeli Courts for 92nd Consecutive Day
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Palestinian administrative detainees in Israeli occupation jails continue to boycott the Israeli occupation courts for the 92nd consecutive day to demand an end to the policy of administrative detention.

In early January, the administrative detainees announced a comprehensive boycott of all judicial procedures related to administrative detention.

Israeli occupation continues to issue more administrative detention orders, as the number of orders issued since the beginning of this year until the end of February reached 203, according to the Prisoner’s Club.

The Israeli occupation escalated the policy of administrative detention since 2015, in which they issued 1,248 orders.

Israel’s policy of administrative detention allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

It should be noted that there are over 4,500 Palestinian political prisoners, including 31 women and 180 children, in Israeli detention imprisoned for their activism in the resistance to the Israeli occupation of their homeland.
