Days of Palestine – Ramallah
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Saturday evening the villages of Al-Janiya, west of Ramallah, and Turmus ‘ayya in the north.
Local sources reported that confrontations broke out in Al-Janiya village following the intrusion by the occupying forces.
They added that IOF fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters and sound bombs at citizens and their homes.
No injuries were reported.
The sources added that IOF also stormed the village of Turmus ‘ayya, north of Ramallah.
In a related context, the Israeli occupation forces stormed Jenin yesterday and killed three Palestinians after opening fire at their vehicle at Araba junction.
Medical sources affirmed that three Palestinians were killed without identifying them, saying that their bodies were seized.
Local sources revealed that a large Israeli military force surrounded the vehicle, and prevented ambulances from reaching the area or providing first aid to the injured for more than an hour.
The three bodies remained on the ground, till being taken by an Israeli ambulance to an unknown place. The Palestinian vehicle was also confiscated by the IOF.
Violent clashes broke out in the area following the incident.
Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, mourned the three martyrs in a statement issued Saturday, saying that they were members of the group.
The statement identified the martyrs as Saeb Abhera, 30, Khalil Tawalbeh, 24, and Saif Abu Libdeh, 25.
“As we mourn our fighters who were assassinated in a coward Israeli assassination, we vow to continue the struggle until liberation,” the Brigades said.
“We vow to our people to continue our legitimate duty, to continue resisting the Zionist enemy. Our people will never surrender and will continue the struggle for the liberation of Jerusalem and Palestine.”
Israeli media sources claimed that “three Palestinians were killed in a clash with Israeli forces.”
Four members of the Israeli police Special Anti-Terror Unit were injured during the clash, with one in critical condition, the sources added.
According to Israeli sources, the Palestinians opened fire at the forces who were coming to arrest them and were killed during the exchange. Weapons and grenades were allegedly found in their vehicle.
