Palestine supporters along with members of the Palestinian and Arab community held on Tuesday, 16 May 2023 a rally in front of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba.
The participants raised the Palestinian flag and signs condemning the latest 5-day Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
They expressed their anger at the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation daily in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
They affirmed their solidarity with the Palestinian people and their resistance.
The past few days have shown the horrible reality of what the ongoing Nakba means.
Over 50 Israeli warplanes rained bombs over the besieged Gaza Strip, killing 33 Palestinians, including 6 children, and injuring 191 others.
Almost 800 Palestinians have been displaced by the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip, which began on Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Social Development in the besieged coastal enclave, 784 people have been internally displaced.
The ongoing Nakba is more than a collection of events—it is a system of colonial violence, military occupation, and apartheid that no human should be subjected to.
There is a danger in treating the Nakba as a moment in history that ended; as Palestinians often say: the Nakba is ongoing and continues.
