Palestinians in Gaza Strip take part in a protest in solidarity with the Palestinian cancer-stricken prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid in front of the Red Cross office in Gaza city on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Hundreds of Palestinians marched today in front of the Red Cross Office in Gaza City, demanding the Israeli occupation authorities to immediately release Nasser Abu Hamid, a Palestinian patient of cancer serving a life imprisonment sentence in Israeli prisons.
Abu Hamid, from the Amari refugee camp in Ramallah, entered into a coma earlier this year after suffering a severe inflammation of the lungs as a result of bacterial contamination.
Up to 600 Palestinian sick prisoners, including 23 cancer-stricken prisoners, are still incarcerated in Israeli prisons as the Israeli occupation deliberately practices medical negligence against them.
