Palestinian detainee 44-year-old S.A. has reported some repeated sexual abuse against him by Israeli male and female soldiers, according to a detailed complaint filed with Israeli police and obtained by Al Hadath.
Despite the complaint naming the alleged perpetrators, Israeli police have yet to take action.
On November 1, 2023, S.A. was subjected to rape at the Negev Prison, where soldiers forced him to strip, bend over, and rotate around an electronic pole, during which they inserted their fingers and a stick into his anus.
This abuse occurred in the presence of Commander Doron, Security Officer Raz, and Intelligence Officer Ilan. Following this, S.A. was beaten and moved to another cell where he continued to face violence.
On November 2nd, S.A. and other prisoners were severely beaten. The next day, guards stormed S.A.’s cell, beat him, and inserted various objects, including a stick, carrot, and cucumber, into his anus multiple times.
The complaint also details a second incident of rape involving two other prisoners, witnessed by Female Officer Dima, Commander Doron, Security Officer Raz, Officer Walid, and Guard Adam.
Additionally, S.A. was subjected to further abuse by a guard who touched his buttocks, and his request for medical attention was ignored.
S.A. reported severe psychological trauma due to the abuse, feeling humiliated and isolated while his abusers remain unpunished.
Israeli police have not yet responded to the complaint or provided information on any investigation, according to S.A.’s lawyer, Wiam Baloum.
