Israeli occupation bulldozers today, Tuesday, began demolishing two residential apartments in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Jerusalem sources reported that the Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished two apartments belonging to the two brothers, Ramah and Ali Odeh, in the Bir Ayoub neighborhood of Silwan town, occupied Jerusalem.

The sources pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces forced the Odeh family to evacuate their house in the Bir Ayoub neighborhood before demolishing it.

The sources indicated that the house is two-story for the two brothers, Ramah and Ali Odeh.

The people of Silwan denounced the escalation of house demolitions by the Israeli occupation authorities and forcing the people to self-demolish them under fabricated pretexts, calling on the world to work to stop the occupation decisions aimed at displacing them and demolishing their homes.

Six neighborhoods in Silwan are at risk of completely demolishing their homes under the pretext of building without permits or evacuating them and expelling their residents favor settlement associations.

Over the past years, the Israeli occupation municipality staff delivered 6,817 judicial and administrative demolition orders to homes in the town’s neighborhoods, in addition to eviction orders for 53 residential buildings in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in favor of settlers.

It is noteworthy that the lands of Silwan town amount to 5640 dunums, and it includes 12 neighborhoods in which about 58,500 Jerusalemites live. There are 78 outposts in which 2,800 settlers live.
