Days of Palestine – Ramallah
The Prisoners Club confirmed that the prisoner’s health condition, Iyad Hraibat, 39, from Dura, south of Hebron, has seriously deteriorated.
Since this morning, Tuesday, there is information coming in succession that the prisoner Hraibat is facing a real danger in the Israeli “Soroka” hospital, to which he was transferred yesterday from Raymond prison.
The Prisoners Club clarified in a statement today, Tuesday, that the Israeli occupation prisons administration committed a crime against the prisoner Haribat, who has been detained since 2002 and sentenced to life imprisonment by deliberately delaying his transfer to the hospital and providing him with the necessary treatment.
The prisoner, Hrebat, has been suffering for years from a neurological disease that causes him to constantly shiver in his body, affecting his ability to move normally. He stayed in the Ramle Clinic prison for several years.
Recently his health condition worsened, due to chronic problems in the prostate, after which he transferred to the hospital. He underwent surgery; Although he needs to stay in the hospital, the Israeli administration sent him back to prison, which seriously worsened his health.
The Prisoner Club held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the life of the sick prisoner, Haribat, who, since his arrest in 2002, until today.
Haribat has been subjected to a policy of deliberate medical negligence (slow killing), including systematic tools, which has been the main reason for the death of a group of prisoners in recent years.
It also reported that the prisoner, Herbert, was a student at An-Najah National University before his arrest, studying agricultural engineering. For two years, his family has not been able to visit him.
It is noteworthy that several sick prisoners in Israeli jails are about 550, and the number of martyred prisoners as a result of the policy of medical negligence is (71) out of (226) prisoners who were martyred in the prisons of the occupation since 1967 AD.
