The Palestinian Electoral in Gaza City Court Monday announced that prisoner Hassan Salameh had been excluded from the "Al-Quds Our Destination" list.
The head of the commission, Counselor Fayez Hammad, held a session for the second appeal, No.5/2021.
The rejection comes as the prisoner is not registered in the final voter register.
The defense team assigned to support a group of lawyers for the Legal Committee attended, and after hearing the court body, the pleadings of the agents of the parties, and the legal deliberations; the court decided to accept the appeal in form and reject him in the subject matter.
Prisoner Hassan Salameh demands that the elections committee treat him in an exceptional way, in the same way as the citizens of Jerusalem, who were excluded from registration in the final register.
Salameh, a resident of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, was arrested in Hebron in 1996 and was sentenced to 48 life imprisonment and 30 years, of which he spent 13 years in solitary confinement.
