Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
The Israeli occupation forces launched, at dawn today, Sunday, a campaign of arrests in the village of Al-Issawiya and the town of Al-Tur in Jerusalem, during raids and searches of the homes of a number of citizens.
Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces arrested a number of citizens in the village of Al-Issawiya, among whom were Aziz Ghassan Alayyan and the two brothers Luay and Muhammad Abed Alian.
The sources indicated that clashes broke out between the occupation forces and the people of the village, during which the occupation forces fired a barrage of sound and poisonous gas bombs.
The sources pointed out that the barbaric storming of the village of Issawiya came hours after the destruction of the vehicle of a settler who entered the village and subsequently sustained separate injuries.
Al-Issawiya is almost daily exposed to the incursions of the Israeli occupation forces, which deliberately arrest the town’s young men and women, break into homes, and search them in an attempt to terrorize the citizens and dissuade them from confronting their incursions and practices.
Issawiya has suffered for a long time from a campaign of collective punishment practiced by the occupation authorities against its residents, using all means of abuse and suppression against them, including imposing taxes and issuing violations.
In a related context, the Jerusalemite occupation forces arrested Ibrahim Al-Hneiti, after they raided and searched his home in Al-Tur town in Jerusalem.
