Hamas Calls for Immediate Implementation of Gaza Ceasefire Plan Following Arrival of International Force Equipment

DaysofPal – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)  on Tuesday expressed hope that the announced arrival of equipment for the International Stabilization Force in the Gaza Strip would mark the first practical step toward carrying out its assigned mission of separating Gaza’s civilian population from the Israeli military and working to halt Israeli ceasefire violations.

In a press statement, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem called on the Peace Council to begin the actual implementation of the Gaza war ceasefire plan without delay.

Qassem said the plan should start with the deployment of the national committee tasked with administering the Gaza Strip, the delivery of meaningful humanitarian relief to the population, compelling Israel to withdraw from the territory, and launching reconstruction efforts, which he described as a fundamental right for all Palestinians across the Gaza Strip.

The statement came after vehicles and equipment belonging to the International Stabilization Force designated for deployment in Gaza arrived as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire initiative.

The Peace Council published photographs that it said documented the arrival of several vehicles and logistical assets for the force, nearly a week after Israeli media reported that advance contingents of the multinational force had reached Israel.

Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported days earlier that personnel from four countries participating in the International Stabilization Force had arrived in Israel as part of preparations for the force’s deployment in the Gaza Strip under the arrangements for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

The report says the force has started to set up a logistical support hub near the Kerem Shalom crossing in southern Gaza, on the border with Egypt.

Israel has also established a dedicated base for the force opposite the central Gaza governorate, near Kibbutz Re’im and approximately six kilometers from the Gaza border. The facility is designed to accommodate around 10,000 troops.

The base is expected to serve as the main coordination hub for the multinational force’s operations and as an alternative to the Kiryat Gat coordination center near Tel Aviv, where personnel from several countries, including the United States, are stationed to monitor implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
