Days of Palestine – Ramallah
Dozens of Palestinian civilians were suffocated after the Israeli occupation forces attacked a peaceful march with tear gas, stun grenades, rubber-coated metal bullets, and sponge bullets in Deir Jarir village, east of Ramallah city.
Local sources confirmed that a large Israeli military force violently dispersed the rally called for to protest the construction of a new Israeli colonial settlement on large tracts of land in the area of Jabal Sharafeh, which belongs to the villagers of Deir Jarir.
The soldiers opened fire towards the protesters, causing many to suffer from the effects of tear gas inhalation.
A number of settlers, protected by the occupation forces, set up a tent in the area about two months ago, began digging and placed a water tank in the place.
This area has been targeted by settlers for years, as they graze their sheep on the village's farms, which causes great losses to the Palestinian farmers.
