Days of Palestine – Ramallah
Palestine recorded today 699 new coronavirus cases and 20 deaths, according to Health Minister Mai al-Kaila.
In her daily report on the COVID-19 pandemic, she said 12 people died in the West Bank and seven in the Gaza Strip.
In the West Bank, Alkaila noted that Ramallah had the highest number of cases (110), followed by Nablus (90), Hebron (48), Jenin (48), and Tulkarm (39).
In the Gaza Strip, a total of 232 new cases were registered. Meanwhile, Alkaila said the ministry did not receive any updates regarding the number cases in occupied East Jerusalem.
The Health Minister noted that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 89.2 percent since the pandemic outbreak in March, active cases for 9.7 percent and the death toll accounts for 1.1 percent.
Alkaila pointed out that 98 COVID-19 patients are currently under intensive care, of whom 22 are on ventilators.
