Days of Palestine – Ramallah
The Israeli occupation forces bulldozed agricultural lands belonging to Palestinian citizens in the village of Deir Nizam, northwest of Ramallah, today, Monday, while they continued to impose closure on the village.
Local sources said that the occupation's mechanisms bulldozed a large area of the land surrounding the main entrance of the village, owned by Rafat Hassan Mohammed Hassan, with the aim of establishing a military watchtower on the site, according to the expectations of the villagers.
The occupation forces had tightened the closure on the village of Deir Nizam this morning after they had arrested 20 of its residents yesterday, 16 of whom were released today, and four of them are still in detention.
The village of Deir Nizam (1200 people) is witnessing continuous incursions by the occupation forces and attacks by settlers of "Hallamish" settlement , who seek to control the village's water spring.
