5 people died of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and 726 cases reported, health officials said on Sunday.
The Ministry of Health stated that 2000 people underwent lap tests. The positivity rate is 36.3% within 24 hours.
623 recovered from the virus, it said.
This brought the deathes to 139 and, more than 10000 contracted the virus since the outbreak pumlied the impoverished costal enclave.
The grim situation prompted the authorities to shut down schools, universities and mosques and imposing curfew from 6:30 pm to 6:00 am.
