The Palestine Center for Prisoner Studies has warned of the real danger to the lives of sick prisoners in the occupation prisons in light of the continuing policy of medical negligence against them, considering that dozens of them may die inside prisons if they are not provided with appropriate medical care.
The Palestinian researcher, Riyad Al-Ashqar, Director of the Prisoner Center, described patients with severe illnesses in the occupation's prisons, more than 150 prisoners, as "Martyrs With A Suspension Of Execution" since they suffer from very serious health conditions with the occupation’s continuing disregard for their lives and not providing them with any medical care or treatment.
" There are more than 700 sick prisoners in the occupation prisons, 150 of them suffer from serious diseases including cancer, kidney failure, heart disease, muscle atrophy, clogged arteries, and other diseases that may not allow the prisoner to survive much," Al-Ashqar declared.
He also revealed that many of the prisoners' health has significantly deteriorated in recent months, including the prisoner Nidal Abu Aahour, who is one of the most dangerous cases in the occupation prisons and suffers from cancer and kidney failure in Ramla Hospital.
Moreover, the prisoner Ayed Khalil (54 years old) from Tulkarm. He went to Soroka Hospital as a result of his deteriorating health condition, where he suffers from a blockage in the arteries. He is one of re-arrested prisoners of Wafaa Al-Ahrar deal.
The prisoner, Mutassim Radad, from Tulkarm, who has suffered from bowel cancer for 9 years, in addition to other prisoners.
He pointed out that Palestinian prisoners are subjected to ill-treatment, beatings and torture, and psychological and nervous exhaustion, which affect their health conditions negatively.
Al-Ashqar called on international human rights organizations to save the lives of the prisoners from death, to urgently send a medical committee to treat the conditions that lead to the prisoners' affliction with difficult diseases inside the prisons, and to stop the health massacre they have been subjected to for many years, while ignoring the occupation of all international laws and agreements.
