Israeli occupation authorities have demolished and confiscated 129 Palestinian buildings in the West Bank and east Jerusalem since the beginning of November, under the pretext of unauthorized construction, accoding to UN report.
United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) declared that the demolitions and confiscations have resulted in the displacement of 100 people, and damage to at least 200 others.
"The largest of these demolisions occurred on November 3 in Humsa Al-Buqai`a, when 83 buildings were demolished, which led to the displacement of 73 people, including 41 children."
"The occupation bulldozers also demolished 30 other buildings in 12 other neighborhoods in Area (C), which is about 60% of the West Bank and completely under the Israeli control," the report mentioned.
Moreover, 16 other demolitions documented by OCHA are located east of Jerusalem, where the occupation has resumed demolitions in the city after it was suspended for three weeks due to the Corona pendamic.
The Israeli occupation authorities have increased, in an unprecedented way, the demolition of Palestinian homes in the West Bank and Jerusalem, during the last months.
Human rights organizations complain that the occupation authorities are restricting the Palestinian construction at a time there has been an increasing in the settlement operations in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
