Palestine declared nearly all lockdown restrictions are going to be lifted, while extending the state of emergency for additional 30 days.
The Palestinian government declared the end of lockdown and extending the stare of emergency for a month as of Tuesday night to counteract the coronavirus pandemic, according to local news agencies.
Government spokesperson Ibrahim Milhim said that cafes, restaurants, gyms will be partially allowed to reopen, while following the Health Ministry's precautionary protocols. Yet, crowds and public events including weddings and wakes will remain banned, said Milhem.
Milhem stressed that areas seriously hit by the pandemic will be isolated and cordoned.
