Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the escalation of Israeli violations of the sanctity of the Islamic Al-Aqsa Mosque today in occupied Jerusalem.
Israel has allowed today Jewish fanatics to carry out provocative tours in the Mosque and perform illegal rituals.
The Jordanian Ministry described in a statement what happened today at Al-Aqsa Mosque as "an irresponsible and rejected act" that provokes the Muslims' feelings around the world.
The Ministry also said that this is a blatant violation of the Israeli obligations as the Occupying Power according to international law.
Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesman Daifallah al-Fayez demanded an immediate halt to these violations, calling on Israel to respect the historcial and legal staus qeo at the Mosque.
