A senior Hamas delegation led by its chief in Lebanon Ahmed Abdul-Hadi met with Cuban ambassador Alexander Moraga at the embassy in Beirut on Wednesday.
Abdul-Hadi discussed with the ambassador the latest developments related to the Palestinian Cause, including refugees and Israel's annexation of the occupied West Bank, in a meeting that took place in Cuba's embassy in Beirut in the presence of two other Hamas leaders.
“The Palestinian cause is passing through a decisive situation,” Abdul-Hadi told Moraga, stressing on the importance of joint work to undermine conspiracies targeting the Palestinians and their rights.
The Hamas official also discussed the harsh humanitarian circumstances, the Palestinian refugees suffer from in Lebanon, especially during Lebanon's current economic crisis.
Moraga affirmed his country's steadfast stance towards the Palestinian cause and the Cuban people's strong support for the Palestinian people.
According to the Lebanese Central Administration of Statisitic, around 174,000 Palestinian refugees live in 12 camps and 156 residential compounds in Lebanon.
