The Israeli Prison service announced on Saturday that a Palestinian prisoner in the Gilboa prison was infected with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The IPS added in a press release that the prisoner was transferred on Wednesday to a hospital for COVID-19 testing.
At first, he tested negative. On the next day, he was forced to return to prison.
On Friday, a coronavirus test was conducted for him again in the Asaf Harofeh Hospital, and the results turned out to be positive.
